Stop AI from sending shoppers to a closed store.
Shoppers now ask an AI assistant whether you’re open before they get in the car. If it repeats last year’s holiday hours or an old address, they find a locked door. FactHound checks what AI says against the hours, address and phone number you’ve verified.
Where AI gets stores wrong
These are common ways AI answers go stale for retailers. They are examples, not measured data.
Old hours on a busy day.
A weekend or a holiday is when a wrong answer costs the most. If AI says you close at 5 and you’re open until 9, the shopper doesn’t come. If it says you’re open and you aren’t, they drive to a locked door.
Holiday hours that never got updated.
Many stores post holiday hours in a banner or a PDF and leave the old page as it was. AI may read either one. It can’t tell which is current.
An address or phone number from before the move.
Old pages, old posts and old listings stay online. An assistant can pick up any of them and state it as fact.
What a wrong answer looks like
Harbor Street Outfitters (made-up)
Question: “Is Harbor Street Outfitters open on Sunday?”
What an AI model answered
Harbor Street Outfitters is closed on Sundays.
Your verified fact
Sunday: 11am–5pm.
FactHound flags it: Wrong. The answer disagrees with your verified Sunday hours.
This is an illustration with a made-up business. It is not a real customer or a recorded AI answer.
How FactHound helps
One verified set of hours.
Confirm your hours, address and phone number once. FactHound publishes them on your own website as schema.org structured data, the format search engines read, and gives you an llms.txt fact file.
It tells you when your own website disagrees.
If a page on your site still says “closed Sundays” after you changed your hours, FactHound flags it. A wrong AI answer often starts on your own site.
It asks AI every day.
On Pro and Agency, daily monitoring asks an AI model questions about your business, compares the answers with your verified facts and emails you when one is wrong.
Set up in three steps. No tech skills.
Step 1: Enter your website.
FactHound reads your site and fills in what it can find, like your name, phone and hours. You add the rest.
Step 2: Check your facts.
Look them over, fix anything that’s off, and approve them. You’re the only one who can.
Step 3: Turn it on.
On WordPress, install our plugin in a couple of clicks. On any other site, paste a short snippet into your settings. We walk you through every step.
That’s it. Your website looks exactly the same to visitors. AI just finally knows the truth.
What FactHound doesn’t do
- FactHound works per website: one set of hours, one address and one phone number for each website. If every location has its own website, add each one. Separate hours for many locations on a single website aren’t supported yet.
- Daily monitoring uses an AI model that reads your website and your published facts. It is an estimate, not a recording of ChatGPT or any other assistant.
- Nobody can edit what an AI assistant says. FactHound publishes your verified facts where AI reads them and tells you when answers drift.
Questions, answered.
